The Pearson Air Museum is located on Pearson Field, one of the
nation’s oldest operating airfields. The museum serves as
the interpretive center for the Historic Reserve’s aviation
story.
The stories of the U.S. Army Air Corps and the civilian aviation
history of the airfield and its connection to the country’s
aviation history is told through static and interactive exhibits
and special programs.
At Pearson Air Museum you’ll experience the “Golden
Age of Aviation”, when flying was new to the world and those
that flew in open cockpit aircraft, with the wind in their faces,
were the ultimate daredevils! Enter the museum and you enter a
world of wild barnstormers, experimental aircraft, and aces of
World Wars I and II.
Through displays and newly developed educational programs, students
will experience Pearson Field’s rich history of pioneering
in military and aviation history.
